Be Involved in a New Central Weston Community Hub!

Calling ALL community groups – exciting news!

A few of us were able to meet at Europe Cafe under the banner of ‘Heart of Weston’ this week to discuss the use of the Carlton Centre in central WsM as a Community Hub/Centre, starting on Sunday 27th November. We’ll have exclusive use of the building from 2pm till 8/9pm each Sunday, a real decent amount of time, for 16 weeks.

So, we need as many community groups to take part as possible and really give the residents of central Weston a place to call home from home. There’s plenty of room for all.

So far, the groups who would like to do activities (this can be anything your group likes though we thought the first week could have a creative bent and stuff for the community to actually get stuck into works better, on the whole, than a simple information point) on 27th November are:

Incredible Edible Weston
Everyone Welcome
ACORN
Creative Community Collaboration
Community Cook Up
Weston-super-Mum
Refugees Welcome North Somerset
Weston-super-Families

But we’re aware that there are loads of groups out there who have brilliant ideas and much to offer. I’m happy to get a list of groups and proposed activities together so what would your group like to do?
