Community Mash-up at The Carlton Centre. Week 2

After a successful and fun first Community Mash-Up at Carlton Centre last Sunday, Heart of Weston is getting ready for its second week. And everyone, absolutely everyone, is invited.

WHERE? Carlton Centre, Carlton Street, WsM, BS23 1UA

WHEN? Sunday 4th December, 14:00-18:00

For the next few weeks, Heart of Weston has been funded by the People and Communities Team at North Somerset Council to prove that a community space is very much needed in the centre of our seaside town. So we invite you all to come and join in, meet other members of the community, have a cup of tea, bring some food to share if you like and take part in a wide range of activities for all ages. Bring your family, come alone, tell your neighbours.

Activities will include a sound meditation workshop from Creative Community Collaboration, a Weston-super-Mum arts and crafts table, banner making with WsM Pride, face painting, storytelling and chill out with Mixed by Design, chat with Incredible Edible Weston and Everyone Welcome. Plus talks on ‘how to recite poetry’, ‘Volunteers and Other Strange Animals’ and ‘Community Engagement’

The communal area will also be a place to sit, chat, relax.

We really hope you can make it because we’re excited about the prospect of finally having our own community space. For us and by us. The Community!
