The Amazing Bubble Man at Tobacco Factory Theatres

So when Louis Pearl said ‘Poo-p! This is the highlight of the show!’ he sold the show short! Although when he says he loves bubbles he really does love bubbles!

The highlight for us was the glow in the dark sequence, which maximised the bubble-brilliance. Within one dome there were layers of bubbly detail, creating a psychedelic spectacle.

There were plenty of oohs and aahs from the young crowd and lots of audience participation. Children were captured within life size bubbles and grew massive bubbly brains!

Louis was accompanied by Jet Black Pearl. An interesting combination of Accordion, flute and vocals providing bubble themed lyrics. Bizarrely this combination of smoke filled bubbles and looping tracks was quite mesmerising. Jet Black made many weird and wonderful sounds using her variety of skills.

A definite hit with the younger kids but enough to keep adults entertained, although the ultimate ‘can we do that at home?’ question is looming!
